Clearing Customs

Traveling Home

IT IS ILLEGAL TO BRING CUBAN CIGARS, RUM or COFFEE into the United States. Don’t do it. Yes, clients get asked what they’re bringing in. Don’t bring those 3 items back. (Saveur them in Cuba)

When a US Customs Agent asks you about the purpose of your trip, you can say for “Support for the Cuban people” (515.575)

Always be honest. Your trip completely complies with current OFAC regulations. We stayed in private homes and ate in private restaurants. We built special relationships with local pastors, artists, and biologists to observe and learn about the marine environment. Name 1-2 activities you did that back this up. You are NOT going to Cuba for tourism. It was NOT a dive vacation.

Our humanitarian – environmental projects directly benefit the Cuban people by bringing critical supplies to private citizens & community projects while also supporting citizen science programs.
